The Elsewhere Community was originally developed for the 1997 Massey Lectures, broadcast on CBC RadioвЂ™s Ideas program. He has written more than 30 books encompassing the fields of literature, language, art, history, mathematics, and popular culture. Excellent viewing and it explains where Marks influences came from.Hugh Kenner, Professor of English at the University of Georgia, is considered one of the finest critics to come out of Canada. Did you ever see the interview by Brian Johnson and Mark. Other solo albums that I have and really like are Mark Knopfler. Its an unusual album but has some good music on it, with the natural rhythms of the African musicians. I picked it up second hand and it was in mint order so I bought it. I love Scotland and last week's description of the otherwise-deserted hotel in Callendar plus this description of Falkirk on a Saturday night have been hugely enjoyable. I found Elsewhere via its music content but I have to say I'm particularly enjoying the travel pieces of late.

WILCO, THEN AND NOW (2022): What goes around comes around. Still I will listen again without prejudice based on your review. Think 'Exile on Main Street' and the multi-thread of influences. The former had the 'roll' as well as the country rock. вЂњ I've given it a good play but to be honest I miss the Jay Bennett inspired 'Being There'(double LP) and 'Summerteeth' (yes Brian Wilson inspired pop).
